Product Overview
SACE FORMULA DSA is a range of low voltage molded-case circuit breakers developed by ABB SACE for power distribution and motor protection applications. The range is designed to combine simplicity, reliability, quality, and versatility in a single product family.
The SACE FORMULA DSA family consists of four frames: A0, A1, A2, and A3, covering rated currents from 15 A to 630 A. The breakers are available in fixed versions with front terminals and are designed for quick selection, easy installation, and immediate use.
With fixed thermal and magnetic threshold values, the trip units simplify commissioning and reduce configuration time. The compact design, reduced product codes, and easy accessory fitting make the range especially suitable for OEMs, panel builders, and installers.

Main Functions
Power Distribution Protection
SACE FORMULA DSA breakers provide protection for low voltage distribution networks through thermal-magnetic or electronic trip units.
Protection functions include:
· Overload protection
· Short-circuit protection
· Isolation
Thermal-Magnetic Protection
The fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit TMF is generally used in power distribution systems.
It provides:
Thermal protection L against overloads
Fixed threshold: I1 = 1 x In
Long inverse time trip curve
Magnetic protection I against short circuits
Fixed threshold: I3 = 10 x In
Instantaneous trip curve
Neutral protection
100% neutral for 4-pole circuit breakers
Electronic Protection
The ELT LI electronic trip unit is available for A3 circuit breakers and provides:
· Overload protection L
· Short-circuit protection I
· Fixed overload threshold: I1 = 630 A
· Fixed short-circuit threshold: I3 = 6000 A
· 100% neutral for 4-pole circuit breakers
Magnetic-Only Protection
The MF and ELT I magnetic-only trip units are used mainly for motor-based applications and selected equipment protection.
Typical applications include:
· Fans
· Water pumps
· Vacuum systems
· Fire protection systems
· Emergency lights
· Elevators
Protection function:
· Magnetic protection I
· Non-adjustable threshold: I3 = 12 x In
· Instantaneous trip curve
Remote Opening and Undervoltage Protection
Electrical service releases support remote or voltage-dependent opening.
Available releases include:
· SOR-C shunt opening release
· UVR-C undervoltage release
SOR-C allows circuit breaker opening by non-permanent electrical control. UVR-C opens the breaker when the supply voltage drops or is missing.
Electrical Signalling
Auxiliary contacts provide electrical information about breaker status.
Available signals include:
· Open / closed position
· Trip indication
· Tripping due to thermal-magnetic or electronic trip unit
· Tripping due to SOR-C or UVR-C
· Test pushbutton activation
Mechanical Operation and Locking
The product range supports mechanical operating accessories for safer and more convenient control.
Functions include:
· Direct rotary handle operation
· Extended rotary handle operation through switchboard door
· Padlocking in open position
· Padlocking in open and closed position
· Key locking
· Lever operating mechanism for A3
FORMULA Link Power Distribution
