Product Overview

Product Basic Information

The OKKEN low voltage switchboard (Low Voltage Switchboard) is manufactured by Schneider Electric. The related installation guide document number is SBSED001025EN (2023 edition).

Product Positioning and Core Value

This product is positioned as a “High Dependability” low voltage switchboard. To ensure product quality, each switchboard undergoes strict testing in accordance with IEC 60439-1 and IEC 61439-2 standards before shipment, and is subject to comprehensive visual, mechanical and electrical inspection by the quality assurance department.

Product Architecture

The OKKEN switchboard adopts a modular design, composed of multiple modular units (cubicles/sections), with horizontal busbars connected between sections via busbar couplers.

Key Features

Diverse Cubicle Types and Size Options

A wide range of cubicle types is available, including 115, 70-2, 115-70, 70-F, VSD (Variable Speed Drive), CEF, Mono NT/NW, 230, 70-M, and others. In terms of dimensions, widths of 400mm, 500mm, 600mm, 800mm, 900mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1400mm and depths of 600mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1400mm are supported.

Flexible Functional Unit Configuration

Supports functional units above 630A (such as Masterpact NW, Masterpact MTZ2 frame circuit breakers) as well as functional units up to 630A (such as Polyfast plug-in units, Form 4 cable plates). In addition, 70-2 and 70-M drawer-type units are offered, supporting three-position operation: connected, test, and disconnected.

Comprehensive Connection Methods

Top, bottom, side and rear connections are supported, with integration into busbar trunking systems (Canalis KT interface). Cables pass through top or bottom cable plates, and cable glands or grommets are supported. The switchboard can be connected from multiple directions: front, rear and sides.

Reliable Busbar and Earthing System

Equipped with a horizontal busbar system. Each section’s earthing busbar is connected via M10 grade 8.8 nuts and washers, with a standard tightening torque of 50 N.m.

Optional Protection Ratings

IP31 and IP54 protection ratings are available to suit different indoor operating environments.

Excellent Seismic Performance

Seismic-specific fixation is supported, suitable for seismic zones 2G and 5G. The 70-M cubicle type features dedicated seismic fixing points using rail-mounted fixation with a tightening torque of 50 N.m.

Comprehensive Auxiliary Circuits and Communications

Supports traditional trunking wiring as well as 70-M network wiring. Control connection modules (Pin Module) supporting up to 48-pin connections are available. Communication connectivity is provided via RJ45 interfaces.

Convenient Operation and Maintenance

Supports Masterpact circuit breaker close/open operation, Polyfast plug-in functional unit insertion/removal, and drawer unit push-in/pull-out operation. Equipment commissioning and testing (such as insulation checks, auxiliary circuit testing) and cleaning/maintenance guidance are also provided.

Compatible Electrical Equipment

Compatible with Masterpact NW (3P/4P), Masterpact NT (3P/4P), Masterpact MTZ2 (3P/4P), and Canalis KT busbar trunking interfaces.

Safe Structural Design

Internal arc withstand supplementary devices are supported. A removable cross-beam design facilitates cable connections, and anti-rotation plates are provided. The bottom base plate is optional.

Convenient Installation and Transport

All components are delivered on pallets, with bottom-handling support. The switchboard is equipped with lifting eyes for top-lifting. Handling options include forklifts, manual pallet trucks, and roller skates. The product is designed for indoor use, with a storage temperature range of -25°C to +70°C.

Application Scenarios

High-Dependability Power Distribution

Suitable for industrial and infrastructure power distribution networks requiring the highest levels of supply reliability, serving as the core low-voltage distribution hub to ensure continuity and safety of power distribution.

Seismic-Zone Power Distribution

Thanks to seismic-specific fixation designs supporting zones 2G and 5G (such as dedicated fixing points for 70-M cubicles), this product is suitable for earthquake-prone regions or buildings and industrial facilities with explicit seismic requirements.

High-Density and Complex Wiring Scenarios

Suitable for applications requiring dense wiring and complex cable management. The diverse connection methods (top/bottom/side/rear) and removable cross-beam design facilitate flexible cable entry/exit and busbar trunking (Canalis KT) integration in confined spaces.

Smart and Network Communication Scenarios

Suitable for modern power distribution systems requiring integrated control and communication. Through support for RJ45 communication interfaces, control connection modules with up to 48 pins, and 70-M network wiring, it meets equipment status monitoring and digital management requirements.

High-Safety and Protection Requirement Scenarios

Suitable for indoor environments with strict personnel safety and equipment protection requirements. IP31/IP54 protection ratings and internal arc withstand supplementary devices are supported, effectively isolating arc fault risks and preventing dust and foreign object ingress.

Frequent Operation and Maintenance Scenarios

Suitable for distribution circuits requiring daily operation and periodic maintenance. Drawer unit three-position operation (connected/test/disconnected) and Polyfast plug-in unit easy insertion/removal significantly reduce maintenance complexity and downtime.
